
Congratulations to the Freshman class for winning the hallway decorating competition with their Finding Nemo themed hallway. The Sophomore class placed second with Toy Story theme, the third place class was the Senior class with the Cars theme, and fourth place was the Junior class with Monsters Inc. Drama kids-If you are going to TheaterFest Wednesday, you must be registered. Check with Mrs. Winter if you didn’t get the email. You also need to be signed up on her board. We leave at 7:30 am Wednesday.
Juniors-We are needing concession workers for the homecoming football game. You may sign up outside of Mrs. Oltman’s room (Room #A8).
We are having our annual volleyball tournament Thursday during homecoming week. If you would like to enter a team, forms are outside of the office. You are allowed to have up to 10 people on your team. They do not have to all be in the same grade. You are only allowed to be on one team. Forms are due this Wednesday the 27th and need to be turned into Ms. McQuitty. If you have any questions please ask McQuitty.
If you would like to take Butler classes next semester, please reach out to Mrs. Herbel. Butler enrollment for the spring is November 1st.
Juniors-if you would like to sign up for the PSAT test on October 11th, the sign-up is on Mrs. Herbel’s door. This is a great way to practice for the ACT as well as qualify for scholarships. There are only 10 spots available so sign up ASAP.
Freshmen who would like to take the Pre-ACT, please let Mrs. Herbel know. The Pre-ACT predicts how you will do on the ACT which is a college entrance exam.
BIGS is now taking applications. BIGS is open to all high school students who are in good standing and have 20-30 minutes per week to spend with a little from the elementary school. Applications can be found by the main office door. If you have any questions, please see Mrs. Brown.

FFA - We are having our first Chapter FFA meeting Today during Character Ed in the Auditorium.
FFA is needing concession workers for the Middle school football game this thursday. There are signup sheets in both Mr. Guynn and Ms. Depenbusch’s rooms.

Varsity Volleyball defeats Euerka in 25-21, 25-17.

The softball team last spring set many team records to go along with many well-deserved individual awards. The team had the most wins (23), best team batting average .471, hits (329), home runs (17) and runs (331). Congratulations to the team. #LIONPRIDE


Congratulations to Keyauna Worrell on earning 1st team all-state selection as an outfielder last season. #LIONPRIDE


Sophia Reyes had a great softball season as she was selected to a 1st team all-state as a catcher. She also tied the school record for hit-by-pitch and set a record for runs scored. Congratulations Sophia. #LOINPRIDE


Pilar Cox had a great Sophmore season last year. She set two new school records for hits and RBIs. She was also named to the 1st team all-state team as a Pitcher. We are excited to see what this spring holds for you. #LIONPRIDE
