Congratulations to Dalis Whiteside and Tyler Batson for being selected to and for participating in the South Central Kansas Music Educators Association High School Honor Band and to Zola Batson for being selected to and for participating in the Honor Choir! You all did fantastic!
Food Drive has begun - please bring in non perishable food items over this week and place in the boxes available next to the SSC.
Don’t forget FFA is having a sugar cookie decorating contest during Character Ed in Ms. Depenbusch’s room everyone is welcome to join!
Congratulations to our Lion of the Month winners for the month of November. Our first Lion of the Month is senior, Dalis Whiteside. Dalis was nominated twice for being a Lion Making a Difference. Dalis is always smiling and a positive person to be around. Dalis is kind to everyone. She makes a difference by being a bright light in everyone’s life and the person nominated her stated they always enjoy seeing her in the hallway. Congratulations Dalis and keep being a Lion who makes a positive impact on others! Our second Lion of the Month is Mrs. Hamblin. Mrs. Hamblin was nominated for Building Connections with Students. Mrs. Hamblin is a great student advocate, she is amazing with all of our students and very understanding with them. Congratulations Mrs. Hamblin and thank you for making a difference with our student body!

Congratulations to Tyler Batson, Senior Alto Sax, and Dalis Whiteside, Senior Euphonium for being selected to and for participating in the South Central Kansas Music Educators Association Honor Band this Saturday in Maize! You both represented Bluestem so well!

BJSHS is hosting a Christmas spirit week starting on Monday December 9th. Check out the days!


Bluestem Senior Jewell Carleton has signed her intent to play Softball next fall for Seward Community College in 2025
She will be continuing her Athletic and Academic Journey at Seward next year. Congratulations!

We will be having a holiday spirit week next week. Theme days will be posted later today.

Students who are going to the play at Butler tonight, please be in front of the high school at 6.
We have an adjustment to the lunch schedule since Thanksgiving break. All high school students eat in what is now called C lunch from 12:00 - 12:25. If you still have questions regarding the change please see staff.

A point system will be used to measure how much is collected for the school. These points will be calculated to determine a reward for the study body. More details from character ed. Teachers.
The FFA will not be hosting a Fun Night today because of little league practice. We will reschedule the event.

All Mr. Babcock’s Weights classes will report to the gym today.
Sign-ups for the winter/spring play Clue are on Ms. Formy-Duval’s door. Please sign up if you’re interested so we can plan practices based on other activities people participate in. Try-outs will be next week.
Musical cast and crew: We are planning field trips to a play at Butler on Thursday, 12/5 and Salina on Sunday, 12/15. Last call for Butler is today. See Mrs. Winter for details.
