We need a BIG push today. Our point total is currently at 664 and today is the LAST day for the food drive. Get those canned goods, pasta, cases of water here today so we can get the last 336 points needed to meet our challenge and earn an activity day in January!
Attention Juniors & Seniors, if you are planning on taking a Butler Community College class next semester, Butler will be here today starting at 8:30am in the Conference Room. Please come down to get enrolled.

We’re halfway there! After two days, we’ve collected 500 points for our food drive, hitting the midway mark of our 1,000-point goal. But yesterday was a slow day, so let’s pick up the pace in these final two days! Bring in those food donations by Thursday and let’s finish strong! Every point makes a difference!

Gameday for Lions Basketball teams today. The Junior High basketball team will host Caney games begin @ 5:00 PM. The High School teams travel to Yates Center for the Wildcat Classic games begin @ 5:30 PM. Congratulations to Dalis Whiteside and Tyler Batson for being selected to and for participating in the South Central Kansas Music Educators Association High School Honor Band and to Zola Batson for being selected to and for participating in the Honor Choir! You all did fantastic!
Food Drive has begun - please bring in non perishable food items over this week and place in the boxes available next to the SSC.
Don’t forget FFA is having a sugar cookie decorating contest during Character Ed in Ms. Depenbusch’s room everyone is welcome to join!
Congratulations to our Lion of the Month winners for the month of November. Our first Lion of the Month is senior, Dalis Whiteside. Dalis was nominated twice for being a Lion Making a Difference. Dalis is always smiling and a positive person to be around. Dalis is kind to everyone. She makes a difference by being a bright light in everyone’s life and the person nominated her stated they always enjoy seeing her in the hallway. Congratulations Dalis and keep being a Lion who makes a positive impact on others! Our second Lion of the Month is Mrs. Hamblin. Mrs. Hamblin was nominated for Building Connections with Students. Mrs. Hamblin is a great student advocate, she is amazing with all of our students and very understanding with them. Congratulations Mrs. Hamblin and thank you for making a difference with our student body!
