Bluestem Elementary Halloween Parade and Parties
The parade will begin at 2:40pm on Thursday,
October 31st. Classroom parties will start after the parade. Visitors are asked to please sit on the bleachers in the gym and students will parade through the gym for pictures.

On Friday The Bluestem Fishing Team completed their Kansas Education boater class. Thank you Kansas Wildlife and Parks for coming out and instructing the class for our kids.

Bluestem High School Football Playoff game Info
The Bluestem High School Football team will travel to Pittsburg Colgan for the first round of the 2A playoffs. The game will be on Thursday, October 31st at 6:00 pm

Bluestem 2A Sub-State Information
Attached is the volleyball sub-state bracket for this weekend. The matches scheduled after the play-in round will begin 20 min after the conclusion of the play-in game. The estimated time is around 2pm.


Bluestem Fishing Team had a busy weekend competing in a tournament Saturday at Lake of the Ozarks(MO) and another at Grand Lake(OK) on Sunday. We had 3 of our 5 teams at Grand Lake weigh in fish.


Bluestem Junior High Dance info
The Junior High Dance this Thursday was originally scheduled start at 6:30 PM. Due to the Bond informational meeting in the auditorium, the dance will now start at 7:00 PM.

Honor Choir cancelled on Grandparent's Day
October 24th.

Watch your mailboxes today and tomorrow for information on the upcoming USD 205 Bond Election. Reminder: There will be a Bond information meeting and walking tour this Thursday, Oct. 24th at 6:00 PM in the high school auditorium.

PTO is hosting The Peterson Farm Brothers this Wednesday evening in the High School Auditorium for a dinner and show. The spaghetti dinner is at 6pm and the show at 7pm. Tickets are $10 per adult and $5 per student, which can be purchased at Leon City Hall or the Elementary.

BJSHS Cheerleading will be hosting a Hog Roast fundraiser on Saturday October 19th at 3:00pm to 6:00pm.


STUDENT OF THE MONTH
Senior Caroline Scott has maintained a 3.5 GPA throughout her HS career. She is also involved in multiple activities at BJSHS. She plans to attend KU next year to major in Nursing.


BJSHS Junior Varsity Football vs. Hillsboro
The BJSHS JV football game scheduled for 10/21 vs. Hillsboro has been cancelled.

BJSHS ATHLETE OF THE MONTH
Sophomore Jett Lucas is our Athlete of the Month. Jett has placed in every Varsity Cross Country meet this fall.
