The Kansas weather has caused some changes in our track meets for our Bluestem teams. Next week we will attend the following meets. Tuesday 4/8: High School Track in Douglas, Junior High Track in Cheney. On Thursday, 4/10, Junior High Track will attend the Central Burden meet, and on Friday, 4/11, High School Track will go to Marion. High School track will NOT attend the meet on Monday, 4/7, at Goddard Eisenhower.

Congratulations to the Bluestem Fishing Team of Ayson Shepherd and Merek Crenshaw. They competed this weekend at Melvern Lake. On Saturday they finished 5th out of 35 teams. Sunday they finished 7th in very tough fishing conditions. These placings have Shepherd/Crenshaw sitting 10th in the State as they head into their last qualifying tournament of the 2025 season!

The Bluestem Powerlifting team had a great showing at the State Tournament in Royal Valley on Saturday, March 29th. Overall the Lions performed well, with nearly all of them earning multiple PR's. Aiden Worrell, Colten Neal, Dallyn Moore, Jazmen Caywood, and Terrin Fewin all competed and earned PR's. Ailen Campa-Garcia placed 6th in Squat, Axton Vice placed 1st in Bench, 3rd in Squat and Clean, and 1st Overall, Brody Wiening placed 4th in Squat, Charlie Morse placed 3rd in Bench, 1st in Squat, and 6th Overall, Dylan Bailey placed 3rd in Bench, 2nd in Squat, 6th in Clean, and 3rd Overall, Elliana Pierson placed 6th in Bench, Jewell Carleton placed 3rd in Bench, 4th in Squat, 2nd in Clean, and 3rd Overall, Kolette Williamson placed 6th in Bench, 3rd in Squat, and 6th Overall, Myles Highbarger placed 6th in Squat, Reagan Neal placed 4th in Bench, 4th in Squat, 3rd in Clean, and 3rd Overall, and Zoey Couey placed 4th in Bench and 5th Overall.
