Today is Thursday, October 17th, 2024 Today for Lunch: Option 1: Pizza Bar Option 2: Corn Dog Option 3: Chef Salad Play cast and crew: come see Ms. Formy-Duval to sign up for taco potluck at next Monday’s practice. If you plan to bring a guest to the Homecoming Dance on October 25 pick up a Dance Guest Pass Form from the box outside the front office. These must be turned back in to the office by October 21st by noon. FFA concessions are today for both the middle school and high school football games. If you can help please sign up outside Ms. Depenbusch or Mr. Guynns classroom. It’s time to announce our Lion of the Month winners for the month of September. Congratulations to Freshmen, Addison Earnest and Officer Klenda for being our Lion of the Month recipients. As a new student to Bluestem this year, Addison has quickly made positive peer connections as well as showed great leadership skills in the classroom. The teacher who nominated Addison shared that she sets a good example by staying on top of her work, and asks questions that show her high level thinking. Officer Klenda steps up to help anytime she is needed. She saw the concessions were short staffed and stepped in to lend a helping hand. Officer Klenda also made many positive connections with our students. High School Boys interested in playing Basketball, there will be a meeting today during CE in Mr. Williams room to talk about the upcoming season. Reminder: Jostens will be here today for a Ring confirmation. They will be handing out companion/gratitude rings as well as checking finger sizes of those that ordered a class ring. Time is 1:45-2:15. Fall Individual and Sports Pictures are today. Individual pictures will begin at 11:00 am We will release by grade level using the intercom. So please keep an ear on it. The cross country team had a successful race at Eureka on Tuesday, with 4 of the 6 runners receiving medals and 2 more personal record (PR) times! Medalists and PRs included... Reagan Neal: 3rd place, Varsity Girls 5K, 21:43 (PR) Israel Lande: Varsity Boys 5K, 22:18 (PR) Arrow Lande: 3rd Place, 7th Grade Girls 1 Mile, 7:37 Leah LaClef: 6th Place, 8th Grade Girls 2 Mile, 17:42 Marleigh Wright: 7th Place, 8th Grade Girls 2 Mile, 18:00 We are proud of all of our runners!

Donkey Basketball will be held on Thursday, November 14th at Bluestem High School. We are looking for "Bluestem Alumni" to help make up a team.
