Welcome back to the first day of school! We are glad you are here and are looking forward to an exciting and wonderful year.
Do not forget to return your completed physical to the office. If you don’t have one, you are not eligible to participate in athletics.
Junior High Volleyball practice will begin on Tuesday the 15th after school in the elementary gym. Practice will be over by 6:15 pm. Students will not be allowed to practice unless a physical has been completed for the 2023-24 school year.

ENROLLMENT REMINDER! Enrollment begins tomorrow. If you have a returning student log into your Powerschool Parent Portal on the app or in the browser and complete the forms under "A. Returning Students." Please try to complete these at home to cut down on the amount of in person visitors.

We have wrapped up another great summer of Strength & Conditioning at BJSHS.
Thanks to all the student-athletes that showed dedication all summer long. We are proud of you!
Special thanks to Destiny Masters and Torrance Lovesee, both BHS alum and current Division 1 Athletes, for giving back to their alma mater this summer and working with our kids!
Also thanks to coaches Bisbee, Burgardt, Burtin, Cordell, and Gomez for putting in a lot of time as well.
Last but not least, HUGE shout out to Coach Baker who traveled twice a day all summer from Wichita to give our athletes more opportunities to grow.

August Activities
The HS cheer team spent the last 4 days at UCA camp! We learned two different routines and competed them against schools from all over Kansas. We are proud to say we are bringing home 2nd place (out of 7 teams) for our camp routine in the small division AND 1st place for the BEST sideline overall in both divisions out of 13 teams! 💙💛 #LIONPRIDE
Reminder: Session 2 of Summer Strength Training will begin Monday, July 10. HS @ 7AM, MS @ 8. Evening session will resume @5:30PM. M,T, TH only. See you there!
Football camp will be meeting at the game field tonight instead of the practice field.
Congratulations to Rylee Orpen, she placed 2nd Overall in the State Trap shoot this past weekend. She shot a score of 80. Great job Rylee.

*CORRECTION* All Boys and Girls Basketball athletes 7-12 are invited to join Coach JJ Davis of Neosho CC Women's Basketball and Coach Kenny Eddy of Pratt CC Men's Basketball for a skills and culture camp from 8:30-11-:30 AM on Wednesday June 14th at Bluestem HS Gym. Cost is $40
