
BJH/HS Morning Announcements


The electrical issue has been fixed at the elementary school. School will resume as normal tomorrow, April 4, 2023.

Reminder: There will be no school tomorrow, Monday, April 3rd, due to a power outage from a failed main electrical breaker. Games and evening activities will continue as planned. Hope to see you all back on Tuesday!

On Saturday, April 1st, twenty-nine high school band and choir students represented Bluestem at the Regional Music Festival held at Butler Community College. Students prepared music either as soloists, small groups, or both to perform for a judge. After their performance, the judges gave constructive, written comments as well as a rating on a scale from 5-1, 1 being the highest rating a student can receive. Students who earned a “1” rating will advance to State held on Saturday, April 29th at South East of Saline High School. Here are the results:

Congratulations to the BHS Powerlifting team on a great day at the State Meet in Conway Springs! The Lions had many PR's and multiple placers. Brody Wiening set the Bench Press record in his division and Brodey Knipp is the Overall State Champion in her division. #LionPride






Tonight was the finale of the Bluestem production of High School Musical! They put on an amazing show that was a huge success.


Don't forget about Bluestem High School theater's performances of High School Musical begins tonight at 7 pm. See you there!


BJSHS Art students will have artwork on display, at the Leon Senior Center, from 3/27-4/7.
Come out to support the 8th-12th grade art students.

Bluestem FFA went to Ark City on Wednesday for Meat Judging. Reece Willhite placed 8th Individually in the Greenhand division. The senior team placed 10th overall out of 27 teams.




We are presenting Disney’s High School Musical this Friday and Saturday. Show times are Friday at 7 pm and Saturday at 2 pm & 7 pm. We are also offering a dinner meal on Saturday. Please come out and enjoy the performance!



7th and 8th Grade Band and Choir students will be traveling to Erie High School tomorrow 3/21/23 for the TVL Music event. We will leave from school at 11:30 a.m. and arrive back home around 9:30 p.m. Dinner will be provided, please wear your black band t-shirt and nice jeans. A concert at 6:30 p.m. will be open to the public, all are welcome to attend.

All 7/8th Band and Choir Members will be traveling to Erie High School tomorrow for the TVL music event. We will leave school at 11:30 pm and return home at 9:30 pm. Students should wear their concert attire. Dinner will be provided for students. Concert is at 6:30 pm in Erie.
