You may have seen our Board of Education recently approved an update to the district calendar for our fall conference date. Fall conferences will be held Monday, October 14th from 11:00 am - 7:00 pm. The elementary school will be sending out conference notes that will have you schedule an appointment with your child's teacher. For BJSHS families, this time will be structured as a come and go opportunity for parents/guardians to discuss their child’s academic progress with teachers. The previously scheduled conference day of Thursday, October 17th will be a regular school day that all students will attend.
We have had another adjustment to our High School football schedule due to the scheduling and lack of officials. Our homecoming game vs. West Franklin will be played on Thursday, Oct. 24th @ 6:00 PM. This is a date and time change from our original schedule. The school appreciates the understanding and flexibility that our students, athletes, staff, parents, and community have shown with the adjustments to our High School football schedule. #LIONPRIDE

Congraualtions to the Lion of the Month winners for September. We had a group of students help out a teacher while they were out of town at the school barn. They completed all the chores and put up hay that will be used all school year. Mrs. Keith is very helpful and helped another teacher ensure her classes started that school year well. Great Job!

We are recognizing a group of students as the Lions of the Month. This group of students came together to help a staff member outside of school hours who was dealing with a family emergency. This group of students, on their own time, took care of all the feeding and barn needs as well as taking time to get hay stacked on the weekend. Our Lion of the Month student winners are Tristan Campa-Garcia, Korbin Hebb, Laythan Vice, Axton Vice, Noah Couey, Colton Neal, and Dylan Bailey. Congratulations and thank you! 12
