The Governor's Scholars program honors the top academic one percent of Kansas high school seniors. Scholars are selected from accredited public and private schools in the state. Congratulations to Bluestem High School senior Emmary Eagleson on being honored with this wonderful achievement last weekend.
We are fortunate to have Jennifer Eagleson coming to the school on May 14th to complete KSHSAA physicals. These are for any student who would play a sport or activity at the school during the 2025-26 school year. The forms must be completed before Monday, May 12th to ensure that we can complete them promptly. You can use the link below to print off a copy or pick one up in the office.

There are still two days left to purchase a ticket to win our Elementary School blanket! Tickets can be purchased in the elementary school office, and we draw the winning tickets at our Band and Honor Choir concert tomorrow, Thursday May 8th at 7 p.m.! $5 for one ticket, and 5 tickets for $20!
Tonight, enjoy some of our seniors' garage band at 7:00 PM. It should be a fun night for all.

Today we will be on our activity schedule for our spring FastBridge reading screener this afternoon. Following 7th hour all students will go to Character Education to complete the last reading screener of the year.
Today during CE there will be a high school volleyball meeting in the commons anyone going to be 9-12th grade next year is welcome.

Congratulations Cassandra Keeler for a strong forensics season finish this weekend. She had a second place finish in a round competing against the best in the state!

During competition week 3 of this season, Tyler Batson shot a straight 50/50 in Skeet! The team helped him celebrate by all lining up to shoot his hat, as is tradition! Congratulations!
On Saturday May 3rd, Bluestem Shooting Sports Team helped with and participated in the HF Sinclair Fun Shoot at Murphys and Sons, outside of Augusta. Koa Willhite and Braydon Kilgore were in a tie for 1st place youth shooter, and Braydon won the tie-breaker to bring home the Top Shot Youth! Congratulations! We also had several team members shoot with teams that had open positions. Bluestem shooters represented well against formidable teams of seasoned shotgun shooters! Thank you to all the students and families who volunteered to make this a great fundraising event!
