My journey of being a teacher has come to an end. I have enjoyed being at Bluestem for my entire career. It began in 1991 at Haverhill Elementary as a part time Kindergarten teacher. After 3 years, I transferred to Bluestem Elementary for the full-time position of 4/5 Multi-age. From there I taught K/1, 2nd, 3rd and finally back to Kindergarten for a total of 34 years. During this time, I woke up and went to “school” every day, I never said I was going to “work.” Someone once said that if you love what you do then you’ll never work a day in your life. Well, that’s so true! It’s truly been an amazing chapter in my book of life, one that I will treasure forever. I want to thank my parents, my husband, kids, family and friends for always being there to support me.
Bluestem Elementary Last Day Dodgeball Tournament had 80 participants! Coming in at 1st- the "Average
Joes", 2nd- "The Yellow Jackets", and 3rd - "The Purty Chicken Nuggets. It was a lot of fun for all who participated and watched!

Softball regionals are going to be played today here in Leon. Game times are 3:00 PM for game 1. Please remember to enter at the blue tent, and it will cost $8.00 for adults and $6.00 for students.
