SENIOR SUNRISE
At 6:15AM on Wednesday the 26th, the seniors will be meeting at the football field to watch the sunrise and eat breakfast together. We will practice social distancing by sitting in truck beds and sitting in the grass. Make sure to bring blankets, lawn chairs, and whatever else you’ll need. We will supply donuts, orange juice, and chocolate milk. We haven’t been a class in 6 months so use this time to come together. Our senior class is a family. ONLY SENIORS WILL BE WELCOME.
All senior Band,Cheer, Dance and Football participants will be recognized at the home football game vs. Humboldt on September 4th at 6:30 PM.

Correction: BES PreK-6 Open House is scheduled for Thursday, August 20, 2020 from 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm. This will be an outside event, located on the East lawn of the elementary school. Students can drop off their school supplies and meet their teachers. Please have all supplies in a container (box, sack, or book bag) and labeled with your child's name on it. Ice cream bars and treats will be available. To help with social distancing, we ask if possible, that family names ending in A-M come from 5:00-6:00 and those ending in N-Z come from 6:00-7:00pm. There will be no BJSHS open house this year. 7th graders wishing to tour the building prior to the start of school, please contact the office. See you Thursday, go Lions!

The USD 205 Board of Education adopted the Bluestem School District Reopening Plan at their regularly scheduled meeting on August 17, 2020.The Board will reevaluate this policy every two weeks in collaboration with the Butler County Health Department. If the data shows that the risk is diminishing, recommended restrictions could/will be reduced.
The first day of school is scheduled for August 26, 2020. Please disregard all district events on the printed school calendar prior to that date. There will be no open house this evening, this may be rescheduled. As of now, all sporting event dates are the same. The district's complete reopening plan will be available on August 18, 2020. Thank you for your patience and support.
Fall Sports practices begin Monday. All participants must have a completed sports physical, signed concussion form and COVID questionnaire completed and on file before being cleared to participate.

August 12th at 6 pm we will host our annual All-Activities Parent meeting in the BJSHS Auditorium. All individuals in attendance will be required to wear a mask at all times while in the building. Please enter the main activities entrance located at the SE corner of the building.

Volleyball 7-12 will begin on August 17th at 4 pm. Jh will start and finish each day at the elementary and high school will be at the high school. You just have a signed physical form to participate.

Those parents requesting remote learning options for their children still need to enroll. We are needing an accurate count to finalize the program. That information will then be sent to those parents/students to make a final decision on remote or in-person instruction.
