Fall Plant Sale pickup is Wednesday, September 16th from 4-7pm at the elementary school.

Beau Motter and Blakely Jones participated in the Top Hand Youth Rodeo in Eureka, KS, this summer, which included 4 weekend rodeos and then the finals rodeo at the end of the season. Beau scored the most points throughout the season and was the year-end Calf Riding Champion of 2026. Blakely Jones was the year-end and finals average champion in intermediate girls goat tying and the senior girls finals average champion. Beau is a 5th grader at Bluestem Elementary, and Blakely is an 8th grader at Bluestem JR/SR High.

The Washington, D.C. trip parent meeting is happening Tuesday, September 22nd at 6:00 pm in Mrs. McLallen's classroom at the high school (Room 210). We want to include all students and parents/guardians of 7th graders through 11th graders. This is just an informational meeting for those who are interested in finding out about the trip and haven't signed up yet. The FFA Chapter will be having our first meeting today during CE in Ms. Depenbusch’s room.

Last night during the Kansas State Fair Grand Drive, Gabe Oltman was awarded the Larry Gleue Leadership Award. The Larry Gleue Leadership Award focuses on the individual's character. It recognizes young livestock exhibitors who demonstrate exceptional leadership, positive peer interactions, and dedication to helping others. One youth from each species gets recognized and Gabe will represent swine. 🐖 Congratulations Gabe! 🏆

Season passes for Bluestem Activities are now available for purchase. Ask at the admission gate or in the HS office if you would like to purchase one.

The Lions Cross Country team opened their season at Clearwater last week and Girard yesterday. Reagan Neal was a medalist at both meets taking 2nd in each, with a time of 19:29 at Girard. As a team the Lions saw a lot of improvement in their times from the first meet to the second, and hope to see that trend continue next week. We're proud of all of you!

The middle school girls gold team won against Neodesha in 3: 25-22, 21-25 & 16-14! MS Blue team Lost MS White Lost

The Junior High Football team beat Neodesha tonight! Go Lions!!! 🏈🦁

Support the Varsity Volleyball Team at the Flint Hills Tournament this Saturday! Our team plays at 9:00 am, 11:00 am and 1:00 pm in their pool play.
