Bluestem Students Selected to Southern Plains Honor Band
“On Saturday, February 11th, twenty-three selected Bluestem band students participated in the Southern Plains Honor Band held at Andover Central Middle School. Students were selected from schools all over the Wichita metro area and beyond. Band members rehearsed throughout the day and gave a performance in the afternoon. Participating members include:
5th Graders: Mary Gilmour (flute), Michael Ellington (trombone), Sorrel Grant (trumpet), Candice Keeler (clarinet), Kasen King (trumpet), Rynn Beavers (clarinet), Rylee-Rae Divine (clarinet), Derek Trent (trombone), Sabina Blanchard (trumpet), and Sophia Hughes (flute).
6th Graders: Hunter Lies (trumpet), Ryelan Eves (trumpet), Ellie Rider (flute), Dakota Whiteside (clarinet), Lora Davis (clarinet), Janelle Smithson (clarinet), Arya Lamb (flute), Joaquin Cox (percussion), Zane Caillouet (Baritone), Jaidyn Batson (trombone), and Hailey Riead (clarinet).
7th Graders: Jarrett Hodges (trumpet) and Alivia Jimenez (flute).
