Bluestem USD 205

On Wednesday, October 19th, members from the Bluestem 7/8th Grade Band attended WSU Middle School Band Day. This event was hosted by the WSU instrumental music faculty members on the campus of Wichita State University. Students had the opportunity to listen to college students and faculty play in small groups, play along side college students in a large group setting, attend master classes taught by college instructors about their specific instrument, and eat pizza for lunch! The large groups were conducted by Dr. Steve Oare of WSU and Dr. John Taylor, retired director from Friends University. A special thank you to Mr. Oltman for helping with supervision and to Randy for driving the bus!
