On Saturday, February 10th, 2024, twenty-three 5th, 6th, and 7th grade band students represented USD 205 Bluestem at the annual Southern Plains Honor Band Clinic held at Andover Central Middle School. Each of these students were placed in honor bands based on the number of years they have played their instrument. The students rehearsed with a group of clinicians made up of band teachers from around the state throughout the morning and gave a concert in the afternoon that was open to the public. Congratulations to all of the students who participated in this event! These students include: 5th graders Madison Worrell, Alto Sax; Emmy Jones, Clarinet; Brody Baker, Percussion; Luke Neal, Alto Sax; Anna Schuetz, Clarinet; Braxton Wiseman, Alto Sax; Lilah Roggenbaum, Clarinet; Lane Peterson, Percussion; Luke Turner, Alto Sax; Taylor Squire, Trumpet; Eli Riead, Trombone; Blakely Jones, Trumpet. 6th graders included: Candice Keeler, Clarinet; Sorrel Grant, Trumpet; Michael Ellington, Trombone; 7th graders: Jaidyn Batson, Trombone; Arya Lamb, Flute; Hailey Riead, Clarinet; Raina Maness, Clarinet; Lora Davis, Clarinet; Jayla Wakefield, Trumpet. You all represented Bluestem very well!
