Bluestem Schools Recognized...
Bluestem Schools has been awarded numerous "Standards of Excellence" for student assessment results this past spring. Standard of Excellence (SOE) is awarded at the grade and building levels. To receive a Kansas SOE award at the grade or building level, the building must make AYP (a federal government measure of performance) in the "All Students" group and have an accredited QPA status. State assessments are taken by Kansas students in grades 3-11.
The Standard of Excellence is granted when a certain percentage of students either meet standards, exceed standards or achieve “exemplary” scores on the tests; also mandated is a limit for the number of students who do not reach such scores.
