Mr. Darren Jackson serves as District Campus Police.

Looking at the needs of the entire USD 205 Bluestem District, the Board of Education in the 2005-2006 school year, created the Campus Police Program. This program differs from the previous School Resource Officer, SRO, program that had been in place, sponsored by the Butler County Sherrif's Department. The National Crime Information Center has designated Bluestem USD 205 program as a full law enforcement agency which provides the ability to enforce authority at any Bluestem school and school sponsored activities.

The Campus Police have the same authority as a law enforcement officer. Several other local school districts such as Maize, Goddard, and Circle schools have also established a Campus Police Program.

The Bluestem Board of Education is pleased to announce the Campus Police Program will be directed by Chief Darren Jackson. Jackson has severed as the district SRO since 2001. Chief Jackson will continue building the student/community relationships as we work together to build a successful Campus Police Program.
