Leon to Have a Community Food Bank
The Leon United Methodist Church in conjunction with the Ministerial Alliance and other local churches is setting up a Community Food Bank. This will apply within the geographical boundaries of USD #205 School District, for those who are in need of assistance.
The Leon Community Food Bank will be working with the Augusta Caring Center, Kansas Food Bank and other local area retailers to produce food products.
Assistance will be provided for those desiring this program and help in filling out paperwork for the commodities.
Hours of operation will be 4:00-6:00 pm. Monday and Thursday each week. Qualification guidelines and other information are available at the Leon United Methodist Church at 316-742-3204 or 316-745-9906.
