The Board approved the consent agenda that included approval of the April 10, 2017 regular meeting minutes, financial reports and claims, the Kansas Educational Risk Management Pool renewal for the 2017-18 school year, an addendum to renew the fixed price food service management contract with OPAA! for the 2017-18 school year, and the 2017-18 food service meal prices.

The Board approved the 2016 audit presented by Randall Ford from Busby, Ford & Reimer, LLC.

No one addressed the Board during public participation forum.

The Board heard staff reports including a presentation from Denton Douglas on Emergency Response Demonstration Day, a project he coordinated for Ms. Crumrine’s Senior English class.

The Board entered an executive session to discuss non-elected personnel.

The Board approved the employment of Joe Burgardt as PreK-12 Gifted Facilitator and BHS assistant girls basketball coach.

The Board approved teacher column advancements for the 2017-2018 contract year.

The Board adopted a final resolution to notify Brian Minks of its intent to non-renew his administrative contract for the 2017-2018 school year.

The meeting adjourned at approximately 8:15 p.m.
