The Board approved the consent agenda that included approval of the May 9, 2016 regular meeting minutes and financial reports and claims.

The Board heard staff reports.

The Board approved the construction of the BES Agriculture Barn by QSI for a low bid of $34,899 contingent on an August 1, 2016 completion date.

Public Participation Forum was held in which several patrons addressed the Board. Quinn Hughes and Kaylyn Baker made a presentation to the Board on the BHS Valedictorian Policy.

The Board had the first reading and discussion of the 2016-2017 Student Handbook, Board of Education Policy, and Classified Handbook.

The Board approved transferring the agent of record title for the district’s workers compensation policy from ICI to A.J. Gallagher.

The Board entered a series of executive sessions to discuss non-elected personnel.

The Board approved the resignation of Mary Brewer from BES Food Service.

The Board approved the resignation of Rhonda Vidrios from BJSHS Food Service.

The Board approved the resignation of Kerri Young as BJSHS Secretary.

The Board approved the employment of Beverly Burnham as the BES 2nd Grade Teacher for the 2016-2017 School Year.

The Board approved the employment of Pete Cisneros as the BJSHS Industrial Arts Teacher for the 2016-2017 School Year.

The Board approved the employment of Orville Brown as the BJSHS Assistant Principal / Athletic Director for the 2016-2017 School Year.

The Board approved a list of 2016-2017 Supplemental Duty Contracts.

The Board approved a 2.5% raise for all hourly and salary classified employees effective July 1, 2016.

The Board adopted a resolution to notify Brian Minks of its intent to terminate his administrative contract.

The Board approved the transfer of Brett Mohr to BJSHS Principal for the 2016-2017 School Year.

The Board approved an employee retirement agreement with Debbie Webster, BES Principal.

The Board approved a new superintendent contract for Joel Lovesee for the 2016-2017 school year.

The meeting adjourned at approximately 10:00 p.m.
