February 8, 2016

The Board approved the consent agenda that included approval of the January 11, 2016 regular meeting minutes, financial reports and claims, acceptance of a $200 Donation to the Library Fund from the El Dorado Animal Clinic, and acceptance of four teacher grants from the Bluestem Association for Student Education.

The Board heard staff reports including a presentation on the Ag Program at BES from Mrs. McCaffree and Mrs. Baker.

The Board discussed a technology initiative to be adopted for the 2016-2017 school year. The board approved a new lease with Apple that would continue a 1-to-1 iPad initiative for all K-12 Bluestem students.

The Board discussed the 2016-2017 school calendar recommendations. No Action was taken at this time.

No one addressed the Board during Public Participation Forum.

The Board entered a series of executive sessions to discuss non-elected personnel.

The Board approved the resignation of Amy Lydon as BES 6th grade teacher.

The Board approved the retirement of Debbie Webster as BES Principal.

The Board approved the Transfer of Tami Currier from BES Classroom Aide to BES Teacher for the 2016-2017 school year.

The meeting adjourned at approximately 10:18 p.m.
