Upcoming events for My Little Battle Buddy
The My Little Battle Buddy program needs your help! I know times are tough and schedules are tight, but please consider the following opportunities to show your support of OUR military.
Let's give the soldiers a taste from home! We are collecting at least a $1.00 donation from each Battle Buddy at BHS and anyone else who would like to donate so we can purchase Girl Scout cookies to send to the 226th. Please have money to Jodi Crumrine by Wednesday, March 3. We have a mother who will pay for the shipping, we just need to purchase the cookies!!
Let's support our Battle Buddies! We are having a stuffed animal packing party on March 3 from 3:30-8 p.m. (or until all packages are addressed and ready to mail) in Jodi Crumrine's room at BHS. Please bring boxes of various sizes, shipping tape, and black Sharpie. Donations for shipping can also be made to BHS for Battle Buddy program.
The soldiers want to hear from us, so we should send them some letters of support and encouragement! At this time the soldiers would LOVE to have letters from home. My mission is to have a letter from EVERY student in our district before spring break. Students can address the letters to SPC Gillespie or ARNG soldier. Letters will be sent in one package. Please have the students use their respective school's return address. Contact Barb Minnick and Michelle Genter at BES, Jodi Crumrine at BHS, and I need a volunteer from BMS.
