Student Council

Bluestem High School Student Council attacked reorganization this year under the sponsors of Chris Day, and Steven Clark.  All student organizations were challenged by Principal Ron Wrampe to structure and organize meetings to follows Roberts Rules of Order, review the constitution and bylaws, and to work with him on the continued updates to the student dress code and the student handbook.

Membership Requirements: A student must be in good standing at BHS and have at least a 2.5 cumulative GPA. They must also have 50 signatures from their peers supporting their position on the council. Officers have additional requirements. Both, officers and members at large, are selected in the spring of the previous school year.

Purpose of Organization: Student Council is an organization that serves as a voice for the student body. STUCO works towards uniting the students, faculty, and community through spirit and service activities.

Goals:  One goal for the year is to finish their constitution.  The Choke Memorial is also another goal they have set to get completed.  The option out for Finals is in the process of being motioned on.  They are also working on the award system.

Current Activities: Right now stuco has motioned for a treasure and to approach teachers about chaperones for the school dances.

Other Information: Student Council is a student run organization. All opinions and thoughts are respected and encouraged. Any suggestion, even from someone who is not a member, is greatly appreciated.
