Art I Design
Art I Design covers a variety of art techniques including still life and animal drawings, scratch boards, lettering, posters, perspective drawing, and portrait drawing. A variety of art media will be used including pencil, pen and ink, charcoal, colored pencil, and water color scratch boards.
Prerequisites: none

Art II
Art II is a continuation of work introduced in Art I expanding on a variety of art techniques including drawings and scratch boards. Students will be introduced to linoleum printing, silk screen printing, acrylic painting, contour drawings, and basic knowledge of drawing the human figure.
Prerequisites: Pass Art I with a C or better, or Instructor Approval.

Advanced Art III
Art III is a continuation of work introduced in Art II expanding on a variety of art techniques including drawings, gold or silver scratch boards and painting with water color/acrylic. Students will be introduced to the techniques required for an ink dot picture. Students are allowed free choice ideas for project topics.
Prerequisites: Pass Art I and II with a C or better, or Instructor Approval.

Advanced Art IV
In this advanced class most projects are of students own choice in many areas to choose from. The student is required to create six overlap drawings in pencil or colored pencil and a painting project that shows knowledge of Principle and Elements of Art Design.
Prerequisites: Pass Art I, II, & III with a C or better or Instructor Approval.

Studio Art - Ceramics
The Studio Art Program enables highly motivated students to perform at a college level. The students in this class will experience 3-Dimensional works of art. They will be learning hand building techniques/project like creating sculptures, whistles, a hollow ball, coil pots, and will also be learning how to throw on a wheel.
Prerequisites: Art I, II with a C or better. The students may be enrolled in an Advanced class at the same time.
