Spanish I
Spanish I is an introduction to the Spanish language and
to the people who speak it natively. You will engage in
communication in Spanish using basic vocabulary and grammatical
structures. You will also gain knowledge and understanding of some
Spanish-speaking cultures and begin to develop insight into the
nature of language and culture. You will make connections to other
disciplines and to authentic sources through knowledge of Spanish
and begin participating in multilingual communities at home and
around the world.
Spanish II
Spanish II is a continuation of Spanish I, with an
extension into developing more complex communication skills in
Spanish and a deeper understanding of the relationship between
practices, products, and perspectives of Spanish-speaking cultures.
You will develop connections to other disciplines and to authentic
sources through knowledge of Spanish, and develop insights through
comparisons of Spanish to your own language and participation in
multilingual communities.
Prerequisites: Spanish I
Spanish III
Spanish III is an advanced class that involves many readings in the
target language. Students will further develop their communication
skills and knowledge of cultural perspectives through project-based
learning. You must have had previously taken Spanish I and Spanish
II .
Prerequisities: Teacher Approval
