Board Vacancy Filled
At its regular meeting on January 11, 2010, the Board of Education interviewed three applicants seeking to fill the board position vacated by Jeremy Nelson’s recent resignation.
Toni Harryman, Damian Korte and Cindy Lewis provided the Board with written applications, made oral statements and answered questions from the Board at the meeting. After the dialogue between the Board and the candidates came to an end, the Board appointed Damian Korte to fill the vacant position.
Mr. Korte will fill the position until June 2011. The position will be on the school board election ballot in April 2011. The person elected in 2011 will fill the position for the remaining two years of the positions term. The position will then be up for election, on its regular cycle in April 2013.
