In the provision of special education and related services the Kansas State Department of Education and Bluestem USD 205 adheres to and is subject to all the requirements set forth under both federal and state mandates governing special education. Bluestem USD 205 complies with all aspect of the State Plan for Special Education. Any person having inqiries concerning USD 205 compliance with the regulations implementing Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 (Title VI), Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972 (Title IX), Age Discrimination Act of 1974 (AGE), Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 (Section 504), or Title II of the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 (ADA) is directed to contact Superintendent Randl Rivers, PO Box 8, Leon, Kansas, 67074, (316) 742-3261.
Randl Rivers has been designated by USD 205 to coordinate the institution's efforts to comply with the regulations implementing Title VI, Title IX, AGE, Section 504, and the ADA.
