Kansas Honors Program...
...Recognizes Bluestem Students
On Monday, October 20, 2008, parents, school administrators and students from Butler, Greenwood and Elk counties gathered at the El Dorado Civic Center for the KU Alumni Association's Kansas Honors Program. The program, that has recognized over 100,000 Kansas high school seniors since 1971, takes time each year to honor the top 10 percent of high school seniors in Kansas. KU Alum and Director of Marketing and Internet Services at KU, David Johnson shared a valuable message with the seniors in attendance.
Each senior is presented a hardbound and CD dictionary with a special cover and message from Governor Kathleen Sebelius and a certificate of recognition for their special achievement.Principal Ron Wrampe presented the Bluestem High School Honorees, Jeremy Coltharp, Madison Medley, Benjamin Reding, Zachary Muckenthaler, Kelsey Rivers and Kaitlin Seymour to the audience. A reception with refreshments and snacks followed the ceremony.
