In kindergarten, we are doing a theme unit called "The Land of Nursery Rhymes". In each rhyme that we study, we are incorporating reading, writing, math, and art. Our "Land of Nursery Rhymes" includes the following four rhymes:
Humpty Dumpty - math focus is counting
Hickory Dickory Dock - math focus is time to
the hour
Mary Had a Little Lamb - math focus is
measurement
Little Miss Muffet - math focus is counting and
making sets
Our "Land of Nursery Rhymes" work will be displayed in the hall outside of our classroom for all to see.
